Two-time All-Star outfielder Max Muncy, 33, has re-signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Dodgers announced the re-signing of Muncy on Wednesday.
The team also revealed the size of the deal. The deal is for two years and $24 million ($328.8 million), with a team option for the 2026 season ($10 million).굿모닝토토 주소
According to Major League Baseball writer Robert Murray, Muncy will receive a $5 million signing bonus, $7 million in salary for the 2024 season, and $12 million in 2025. It includes incentives based on at-bats.
Muncy previously signed a contract extension with the Dodgers last August for $13.5 million for 2023 and a $10 million team option for 2024. This is his second contract extension.
The deal delays his free-agent eligibility by at least one more year.
He was selected by the Oakland Athletics in the fifth round of the 2012 draft and made his big league debut in 2015.
After being released by Oakland in 2017, he signed a minor league deal with the Dodgers a month later and spent a year in Triple-A before establishing himself as the Dodgers’ go-to hitter in 2018.
In six years with the Dodgers, he batted .230 with a .356 on-base percentage, .486 slugging percentage, 175 home runs and 472 RBIs in 751 games.
He was named an All-Star in 2019 and 2021 and helped the Dodgers win the World Series in 2020.
In 135 games in 2023, he batted .212 with a .333 on-base percentage, .475 slugging percentage, 36 home runs and 105 RBIs. The 36 home runs tied a career high.
Joined Mookie Betts (107 RBIs), J.D. Martinez (103 RBIs) and Freddie Freeman (102 RBIs) to mark the first time in Dodgers franchise history that four players had more than 100 RBIs in a season. The Dodgers scored a franchise-record 906 runs.
His 175 home runs are tied for the sixth-most in franchise history.
