Acuña Jr. named Player of the Year with 242 of 376 votes
Compiled an unprecedented 40-70 record, dominating Ohtani and Betts
Atlanta Braves’ Ronald Acuna Jr. (25), who posted an unprecedented 40-70 온라인카지노(40 doubles-70 home runs or more) record in Major League Baseball, has been named Player of the Year by his peers.

At the start of the 2019 season, his second year with the Braves, he signed an eight-year, $100 million contract with Atlanta that included a two-year team option for $13.56 billion. As if to reward the team’s faith, Acuña Jr. has consistently performed well.
He was literally on fire with the bat this season. In 159 games, he proved his class by batting .337 (217-for-643) with 41 home runs, 106 RBI, 73 doubles, a .416 OPS and a 1.012 slugging percentage.
Became the first player in major league history to join the 40-70 club, and posted an on-base percentage above .300 for the first time in his career. He led the National League (NL) in most offensive metrics, including hits, runs scored, stolen bases, first in OPS, and second in slugging percentage.
“In 2021, Shohei Ohtani (Los Angeles Angels) won the award after a remarkable season of Cy Young-caliber pitching and MVP-caliber hitting, while Aaron Judge (New York Yankees) won the award last season after blasting 62 home runs,” according to Sporting News.

“In 2023, Ohtani raised the bar with a strong season, but finished second in player voting, well behind Acuña Jr. “No player in Major League Baseball history has ever hit more than 40 home runs and stolen more than 46 bases, and no player with more than 70 stolen bases has ever hit more than 28 home runs.”
The two-hitter “Idoryu” Ohtani finished second with 44 votes. Mookie Betts (Los Angeles Dodgers), who knocked Aquino Jr. to second place and topped the 2023 Postseason Power Rankings, was third with 36 votes.
Meanwhile, American League (AL) Rookie of the Year honors went to Gunner Henderson (Baltimore Orioles) and NL Rookie of the Year honors went to World Series-bound Corbin Carroll (Arizona Diamondbacks). Tyler Glasnow was named AL Resurgence Player of the Year and Cody Bellinger was named NL Resurgence Player of the Year.
