Ansu Pati (20-Barcelona), who took over Lionel Messi’s 바카라 (36-Inter Miami) number, is determined to stay with the team and fulfil his potential. He has been linked with interest from Paris Saint-Germain, the Premier League, Serie A and Saudi Arabia.
“Pati is one of the main targets of Barcelona’s interest,” said Fernando Polo of Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo on 8 August, “He is not a first-team player at Barcelona, so there is interest from other teams, and we watch him in England, Italy and Saudi Arabia. But the player is only thinking about staying at Barcelona.”
This summer, Barcelona were willing to allow Pati to leave if the right offer came in. Fathi, on the other hand, is determined to improve his form and fully realise his talent. During the pre-season, he worked hard to get in shape. He scored a wonder goal in a pre-season match against AC Milan in the United States and then scored the winner in the Johan Campeau Cup against Tottenham.
With one of his main rivals, Ousmane Dembele, 26, on the verge of a move to Paris Saint-Germain, there was even a ‘green light’ for Fàtima. Nevertheless, Barcelona said they could not offer Pati a first-team guarantee. More recently, Neymar (31-Paris Saint-Germain) has been linked with a return to Barcelona, making Pati for sale for financial reasons.
“The coaching staff believe that Pati still needs time to recover,” said the Polo reporter. They recommended a loan to the player, and a loan with a full buyout could be worthwhile. For now, nothing has been done.” According to local reports, Paris Saint-Germain, West Ham United and Al-Hilal are planning to approach Fathi.
“A Premier League club that failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League (UCL) has offered 50 million euros ($72.2 million) to sign Pati,” Gerard Romero, a journalist familiar with the Barcelona situation, revealed on 7 July. A fairly concrete offer has been made to Barcelona, but it is unlikely to change the player’s mind.
Pati impressed upon his promotion to Barcelona’s first team in the 2019-20 season. However, his progress was halted in 2020 when he was sidelined for an extended period with a meniscus injury. In 2021-22, he took over the number 10 shirt after Messi’s departure, but he hasn’t lived up to expectations due to the after-effects of his injury.
